Net Zero Energy Buildings: 17 Project Teams Tell All
Linda Reeder, FAIA, LEED AP, will present the shared lessons learned by 80 project team members on 17 buildings that are performing as net zero energy. Project types include educational, office, retail, and residential, and range in size from 1,000 to 320,000 square feet. Lessons for design teams, owners, and operators will be presented.
This seminar will flatten the learning curve for designers, owners, and constructors undertaking—or hoping to undertake—a net zero energy project. Attendees will gain knowledge about processes to engage in and pitfalls to avoid while learning how to approach the challenges peculiar to designing a net zero energy building.
Linda Reeder is the author of the book Net Zero Energy Buildings: Case Studies and Lessons Learned, published in April, and an associate professor in the Construction Management program at Central Connecticut State University. Her consulting practice is based in New Haven.
