LEED Specific CTGBC Education Provider Workshop for Credential Maintenance

 

Earn 1.5 CEU's

 

Who Should Attend:

Anyone who seeks to expand their practice. This workshop is intended for professionals who work in the residential fields including:

Design – Architects; Engineers; Interior Designers; Landscape Architects; Residential Designers

Construction – Contractors; Residential Builders


Real Estate – Appraisers; Brokers

Government – Code Officials; Local Government

Other – LEED GA; LEED AP; HVAC installers; Plumbers; Electricians

Program Description:

A home cannot be LEED certified without fulfilling all prerequisites. This course provides the basic understanding and comprehension of the prerequisites that set the stage for LEED for Homes certification and the role that the integrated project team plays in the process. A case study of an actual LEED for Homes project will be used as samples of the Durability Inspection Checklist, LEED for Homes Project Checklist, Accountability Forms and project photos. The class will allow for discussion of challenges encountered during implementation, how to avoid the pitfalls and steps to take for successful resolution.

Prerequisite knowledge:

Residential construction experience/knowledge or understanding of sustainable building practices is suggested but not mandatory.

Learning Objectives:

  • To provide an introduction to LEED for Homes checklist and requirements.
  • Gain an overview of the prerequisites with each credit category.
  • Ability to understand how the prerequisite relates to the rest of the credits in the category.
  • Ability to analyze Energy Star for homes HERS rating and how it relates to LEED for Homes.
  • Gain practical knowledge of the importance of an integrated project team.

Credential Maintenance

This is a LEED Specific CTGBC Education Provider Workshop for Credential Maintenance Credits.  Course information will cover multiple Prescriptive Credential Maintenance categories.  (CEUs 1.5)

 

Registration check in at 5:30

Program  6:00 - 7:30

Light refreshments will be served.

 

Cancellation Policy:

Attendees may cancel registration prior to 9/20/12 and receive a refund. After 9/20/12, no refunds shall be issued for attendee cancellations.

CTGBC reserves the right to cancel the workshop up to one week prior if sufficient attendance is not reached. All registered attendees will be contacted via email and refunds issued in the event that  CTGBC cancels the workshop.
