This is a LEED Specific CTGBC Education Provider Workshop for Credential Maintenance Credits

Registration 4:00 pm
Workshop 4:30 - 6:30
Who Should Attend:
Contractors, owner representatives and design professionals who want to understand LEED from the contractor’s perspective.
Program Description:
Earning a LEED Certification requires both design and construction team members. The focus of this course is on the construction-phase activities, management, documentation and responsibilities of the contractor for a LEED-NC or LEED-CI project as well their interaction with other team members.
The LEED scorecard and LEED credits related to the contractor’s role and strategies to realize the credits will be discussed, including pre-construction activities such as the development of a Waste Management Plan and Indoor Air Quality Management Plan, as well as assigning responsibilities and establishing expectations of the construction team. The course will include two interactive hands on activities and will conclude with a question and answer session.
Learning Objectives:
•· Identify, describe, and discuss credits specific to the Construction Manager and effective ways to compile LEED documentation.
•· Distinguish required reporting efforts between the CM and A/E to minimize duplication in reporting.
•· Understand CM preconstruction and construction phase activities to support the team in achieving LEED goals.
•· Communicate and develop the LEED action plan for the project to all participants.
