Committees

We depend on support from a dedicated group of volunteers who contribute their expertise and energy to bringing SCTGBC programming and events to the Fairfield/Westchester area. We are always looking for volunteers. Committees typically meet once a month and individuals should be willing to commit up to four hours per week for one year. If you're interested in getting involved on any level, feel free to contact a committee chair. If you're not sure where you would best fit, or would like to find out more, contact Kristy O'Hagan (kohagan@sctgbc.org) or info@sctgbc.org.

Events & Education Committee:

The events and education programs are coordinated through CTGBC
Events and Education Committees and are held in Fairfield and Westchester Counties. We connect with local schools, universities, small businesses, manufacturers, developers, green building professionals, home owners and others. Together we help to develop, organize, and execute various green building events, networking opportunities and instructional seminars.

Membership Committee:

This committee works with CTGBC Membership Committee and identifies and implements strategies to recruit, retain and engage the local membership. Working with the CTGBC and others, we seek to enlarge our network of professionals from across the building industry, allow them to access new LEED developments, and influence direction through the promotion of sustainability initiatives to bring about change.

Communications Committee:

This committee works with the CTGBC Communications and Website Committees to create and execute informative, compelling internal and external communications to educate, motivate and activate the branch membership and like-minded interest groups within our local communities. We do this through the SCTGBC webpages found at www.ctgbc.org   email campaigns, newsletters, and other promotional activities.
